The Lynx2 Splice connector design eliminates the need for crimping, making fusion junctions easier and more economical for custom FTTx installations, both indoor and outdoor.


The Lynx2 features a quick and easy-to-use fastening system that secures the Kevlar® and the cover, eliminating the crimping process and the use of expensive tools. The Lynx2 CustomFit connector termination method eliminates the need to anticipate predetermined jumper lengths required for a given application, allowing field technicians to customize the finish on the spot, ensuring fast, accurate, and permanent connections. The Lynx2 also eliminates the need for and associated cost of hand polishing and maintaining an inventory of distribution trays, bonding gels, and various predetermined-length jumpers.


Lynx2 has successfully passed independent testing for GR-326-CORE and GR-1081-CORE. The new connector offers APC, UPC, and PC (MMF) polishing options and average insertion losses of only 0.15dB for single-mode fiber and 0.10dB for multimode fiber. It is also compatible with Sumitomo FastCat Type-39FH, TuffCat Type-66 Mass, TomCat Type-25e, and earlier fusion splicers, and can also be used with other brands of splicers.
