The AUTOPREP 3 has become much easier and faster to use. Guided fiber supports easily position the fibers correctly, and a single "One Touch" button initiates the automatic preparation process. The integrated interface provides quick and easy access to all relevant parameters. "The touchpad has made controlling the device fast and intuitive. Therefore, the device no longer requires external computer control to change parameters," says Erik Böttcher, CEO of NYFORS. The interface also allows users to connect the device to a local Wi-Fi network. This new functionality enables direct data sharing or remote parameter changes.
To ensure high quality and repeatability, all stripping, cleaning, and cutting processes are controlled by the built-in microprocessor. The device can process optical fibers with cladding diameters between 80 and 125 μm. Its compact, tabletop design allows for easy setup and transport to suit user needs.
