Designed for fixed access network customers requiring a compact and easy-to-install solution for GPON applications, the SFO cabling system connects the optical network termination port (OLT) to the customer port in the primary or secondary optical distribution frame. The solution offers a high degree of reliability and durability. At its core is the ultra-compact splitter module, which divides one or two fiber inputs into up to 32 single-fiber outputs.
By stacking these modules, up to 24 traditional individual splitter cassettes can be stored in the distribution rack at a depth of 300 mm. This is ideal for optimizing or upgrading an existing P2P infrastructure to xPON applications.
The SFO can be deployed in the central distribution frame (data center), cable distribution frame, or building distribution frame. Depending on the operating area, individual design considerations can be taken into account in advance, such as splitter module labeling, connector variants, or the inclusion of labeling clips.
