Phoenix Photonics was present at Photonics West, held from January 24-26 in San Francisco, California, USA. With the growing demand for products in the 2000 nm range, Phoenix Photonics addressed the market by expanding the operating wavelength of its existing selection of all-fiber-based components and introducing 2 µm couplers available in 1x2, 2x2, tap, and cascade configurations. The company, which owns the technology, facilitates the transition to offering components built with single-mode fiber specifically designed to optimize performance in the 2000 nm wavelength band.
In addition to the new couplers, Phoenix will deploy much of its portfolio of conventional wavelength telecommunications and 2000 nm range products, including:
• Optical phase switch.
• Polished face fibers.
• Polarization scanner/controller.
• Polarization scrambler.
• Multichannel polarization controller.
• Electronically controlled polarization controller (PC and manual options).
• Fiber depolarizer.
Phoenix primarily offers fiber optic components and modules for telecommunications testing, measurement instrumentation, and detection systems. The company also supplies university R&D departments and research centers developing next-generation systems.
