Therefore, the fiber optic and testing equipment manufacturer JDSU has developed control software that, together with the P5000 digital microscope, safely and clearly provides a high-resolution image of the fiber, and also verifies the quality of the process carried out in the networks in a 100% safe manner.
Simply by connecting the P5000 digital microscope to a PC or laptop via USB 2.0 or to the MTS4000 OTDR, and with a single click, it's possible to automatically capture, inspect, and analyze a fiber end or connector in a single step, thanks to the combined functionality of the microscope and software.
FiberCheck2 is image analysis software that, according to the criteria established in the IEC 61300-3-35 standard, inspects and analyzes both the fiber and connectors to automatically provide a SUITABLE/UNSUITABLE result. This eliminates subjectivity in inspections and standardizes the process.
In addition, FiberCheck2 stores the logs and offers reports in HTML and PDF format, providing the security and traceability required by large fiber installers and which will soon become a requirement in the industry.
The advanced P5000 digital microscope and its FiberCheck2 software from JDSU are available from Telecom Unitronics, JDSU's distributor in Spain.
