Slimflex patch cords have a bend radius of just 7.5 mm – compared to 40 mm for traditional patch cords – drastically reducing the risk of failure due to accidental over-bending right at the patch panel, where it is most likely to occur.
The patch cords use a round cable with a diameter of only 2.6 mm, which also reduces space requirements by 30% and is easier to handle since there is no bend preference as with a twin-cable construction.
The cable employs an advanced flexible jacket material with high abrasion resistance while remaining flexible, kink-free, and without memory effect.
As an added feature, the patch cords incorporate low-loss connectors with an insertion loss of only 0.3 dB and a reduced size to improve visibility and handling in densely populated fiber panels.
