Any process for measuring or certifying an optical link begins by establishing the reference value, which is obtained by directly connecting the light emitter to the optical power measurement equipment.
This connection must be made using a jumper with special characteristics: a test reference cord (TRC) with high-performance connectors at each end.
For this reason, the COFITEL Group has developed a line of TRCs with pre-assembled connectors, supplied with a complete measurement data sheet.

Among these patch cords with customized physical and optical characteristics are models certified for measurements taken during the installation of Huawei optical termination boxes (CTOs).
These patch cords, the result of an exclusive agreement between Grupo COFITEL and Huawei, exceed stringent specifications and are supplied in lengths from 1 to 3 meters.
The new TRC patch cords feature a Huawei weatherproof connector (Reference 14134318) and an SC/APC connector for connection to the measurement equipment.
Secure fiber alignment, along with the use of connectors with reinforced, scratch-resistant surfaces, allows for multiple uses without performance degradation.
Furthermore, interferometric control of the various assembly parameters guarantees maximum accuracy for Grupo COFITEL's TRC patch cords.
