The MT8821C is the successor to the popular MT8820C and allows the generation of up to four MIMO carriers in a single-frame solution, while maintaining code and RF compatibility with the MT8820C. This backward compatibility allows the MT8821C, and therefore the joint test solution, to immediately support all commonly used communication standards such as LTE FDD and TDD (including LTE-Advanced), W-CDMA (HSPA, HSPA+), CDMA (EV-DO), TD-SCDMA, and GSM (GPRS/EDGE).
The LTE carrier aggregation solution currently supports:
• DL CA: 2CC and 3CC (4CC planned for future versions)
• UL CA: 2CC
The fifth-generation Bluetest RTS65 reverberation test system and its accompanying software flow platform were launched in April of this year, introducing a new level of ease of use, flexibility, and innovative solutions to boost laboratory productivity. The new system includes integrated measurement equipment and a touchscreen interface for easy control and monitoring of measurements.
“Our joint customers truly appreciate the close collaboration between Anritsu and Bluetest, which allows them to fully benefit from the integrated test solution immediately after the introduction of the new test and measurement products,” says Bluetest Product Manager Klas Arvidsson. Anritsu Wireless Technology Specialist Francois Ortolan adds; "It was obvious to us that we had to offer Bluetest with access to the MT8821C to facilitate a seamless migration to the latest OTA testing technology, and Bluetest also took the opportunity to include support for our 2CC UL CA functionality at the same time."
The Anritsu MT8821C is also supported by the previous generation of the Bluetest reverberation testing system, which consists of the RTS60 and Bluetest Measurement Suite.
