The Chair's fundamental objectives are both research into the foundations of EMC and its practical application. The research will be conducted within the Digital Systems Design and Communications (DSDC) Research Group, attached to the Department of Electronic Engineering at the Higher School of Engineering, and will receive material support from Würth Elektronik eiSos. The company also offers opportunities for Doctoral Theses and Master's Theses. Starting in the winter semester of 2015/2016, the Chair will begin its work with courses, seminars, and international conferences. Internships and training sessions will also be offered to students. Dr. José Torres, Professor at the University of Valencia, has been appointed Director of the Chair. Steffen Muetsch and Jorge Victoria Ahuir, EMC Components Managers at Würth Elektronik eiSos, will supervise the internships and deliver training sessions at the University of Valencia.
