Under the agreement, Exis Telecom will market Cocomm phones in Mexico. These phones combine the features of mobile and landline telephony by incorporating a SIM card. This provides high-quality voice and data connectivity through the mobile phone network, without requiring fiber optic installations, and with devices compatible with 2G, 3G, and 4G.
The scalability and flexibility of this model will help Mexican companies improve their productivity and adapt to new mobility needs without making large investments. The phones operate in secure environments adapted to remote work, allowing users to access all office functionalities from anywhere: video calls, access to company software, etc.
Furthermore, CoComm's devices and EXiS Telecom's infrastructure form a project that will improve voice and data access, even in rural areas where fiber optic networks have not yet been deployed. Nearly 30 million people in Mexico lack internet access, according to a survey by INEGI, Mexico's National Institute of Statistics and Geography.
Another key focus of the agreement is to provide companies with the necessary tools to boost their business digitalization as a key to the country's competitiveness.
Exis Telecom operates on the Altan network and utilizes the comprehensive platform provided by the Mexican Mobile Virtual Network (MVN) Enabler VADSA (Valor Agregado Digital, SA de CV). Thanks to the operator's infrastructure, CoComm's technology will guarantee connectivity for businesses and employees from any location, without cabling costs, in a flexible and scalable manner.
Remigio Lluch, CEO of CoComm, emphasizes: “This alliance is important for providing Mexican companies with the tools they need to drive their digitalization, and thereby boost the country's competitiveness. At the same time, it is a strategic agreement for continued growth in Mexico, where our devices are the ideal connectivity solution in areas where fiber optic is unavailable.”
Javier Lizárraga, Director of Alliances and Strategic Projects at Exis Telecom, announces: “CoComm’s hybrid technology is a perfect solution that will allow us to bring connectivity to a greater percentage of businesses and employees. The alliance with CoComm contributes to boosting the technological development of the country’s business sector.”.
