With this new agreement, public administrations, healthcare organizations and other types of companies can purchase Commvault's software solutions optimized for HPE storage, including HPE 3PAR, HPE Nimble Storage, HPE Apollo and HPE ProLiant, from anywhere in the world through HPE's distribution network.
“This announcement further strengthens the relationship between Commvault and HPE, providing users with a one-stop shop to purchase Commvault’s backup, recovery, and data protection products alongside HPE’s storage solutions,” said N. Robert Hammer, president and CEO of Commvault. “By joining HPE Complete, we are offering businesses a new channel to acquire the industry’s most powerful data platform, and with it, the control, flexibility, and automation they need to implement digital transformation initiatives that use data to reduce operating expenses, mitigate risk, and improve business outcomes.”.
“We are delighted to expand our relationship with Commvault and offer our partners and customers the ease of purchasing HPE-validated Commvault software through our HPE Complete program,” said Patrick Osborne, product manager for storage and big data at HPE. “With HPE Complete Commvault Software, organizations can minimize the risk, complexity, and cost of deploying Commvault’s powerful data protection and backup solutions on HPE storage products. This will enable them to use Commvault software more quickly and easily to reduce data complexity, migrate data between on-premises and cloud infrastructures, ensure their information is fully protected and recoverable, and activate data for valuable insights.”.
Through this agreement with HPE, Commvault can offer a pre-validated data protection solution for primary and secondary storage requirements, using both Commvault Data Platform and Commvault HyperScale™ technology. The latter, launched last October, provides a cloud-ready, scale-out infrastructure that offers customers deployment flexibility, simplicity in on-premises environments, elasticity, adaptability, and the ability to scale to manage secondary data.
The new distribution agreement follows another recent initiative by both companies, as HPE recently selected Commvault Data Platform for its HPE GreenLake backup solution. Available through HPE's consumer-based Flexible IT service, the HPE GreenLake solution integrates Commvault's software into its server, storage, and networking technology, providing users with high-end data protection and reliability that will cover the entire lifecycle of a backup environment.
“These new HPE Complete Commvault Software solutions will accelerate the time it takes our enterprise customers to realize value from their investment by leveraging the combined capabilities of HPE and Commvault products,” emphasizes Cheryl Neal, vice president of data and networking solutions at Tech Data. “By making these solutions easier to purchase and ensuring their interoperability, our partners will be able to access new opportunities to increase revenue and improve profitability.”.
