Vertiv and Telefónica have announced a long-term global alliance to drive energy savings through customized infrastructure solutions. Under this new agreement, Vertiv will provide Energy Savings as a Service (ESaaS) across all of Telefónica's backbone and access network sites in Europe and Latin America, covering all services from site energy analysis to comprehensive maintenance for the next ten years.The agreement also includes Vertiv experts conducting energy audits and preparing comprehensive assessment reports on estimated KPIs and energy savings for each site. These reports will present a series of recommendations to optimize the performance, capacity, availability, and efficiency of critical infrastructure, ultimately increasing energy savings. Vertiv will provide comprehensive support, from consulting and implementation to ongoing monitoring and maintenance services, without requiring any capital expenditure (CAPEX) from Telefónica. Vertiv will cover all project financing costs as part of the Energy Services as a Service (ESaaS) agreement.

This award acknowledges Vertiv's exceptional contribution to Telefónica's Energy Efficiency Program, which received the GSMA Green Mobile Award in 2016.
Vertiv developed, particularly throughout 2017, highly energy-efficient infrastructure solutions, including precision air conditioning equipment, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), DC rectification systems, and hybrid solar systems with renewable energy sources.
