At the end of 2016, Legrand launched its new high-quality energy business unit in Spain, specializing in UPS systems, rectifiers, load transfer systems, active filters, and reactive power compensation systems. The project is led by Xavier Bassols, who has over 35 years of experience in the sector both nationally and internationally, and Juan Carlos Hernández, with similar experience in Spain, Eastern Europe, and Latin America.

Legrand's main objective is to complete its product offering for data centers, both for technical rooms (Legrand distribution and protection panels, Zucchini transformers…), and for the clean room (Minkels server racks and “cold corridor”, Raritan intelligent PDUs, Legrand fiber optic solutions, Cablofil cable management systems…).

With this business alliance, the company expands its range of solutions and products for this market segment, including Borri's new modular UPSaver system, comprised of modules scalable up to 1.6 MW. This system can be expanded with up to 8 parallel systems, powering a total system of up to 12.8 MW.

The agreement signed with Legrand Group will allow Borri to handle even larger projects, although the brand will maintain its independence and continue selling its products through its various existing channels.
