Customers will benefit from new applications for TCS MindSphere, which will bring new digital and analytics services such as predictive maintenance and energy monitoring.
Milind Lakkad, Executive Vice President and Global Head of Manufacturing at Tata Consultancy Services, explains: “We have collaborated with Siemens to innovate in technology for several years, and this latest development will enable our customers to take significant steps in IoT innovation. With the MindSphere agreement, we will intensify our collaboration and support for our customers as they capitalize on the opportunities presented by digital innovation. Our customers will benefit not only from our expertise in application development and systems integration but also from our firsthand experience in platform development.”.
Initially, the program will focus on the manufacturing sector, where IoT already enjoys significant strength and presence due to the immense volumes of data generated by manufacturing processes, enabling greater innovations in aspects such as system performance and connectivity.
Through this collaboration, TCS will also support the development of MindConnect Nano, the cloud gateway that can be used to connect production to cloud-based analytics of production and machinery data. Furthermore, this new collaboration will allow Siemens and TCS to explore the implementation of the MindSphere core platform, including operation and support services such as application and infrastructure management, and analytics and testing services.
Thanks to TCS's expertise, the company will offer MindSphere applications and digital and analytics services that can reduce downtime, maintenance-related costs and energy consumption, while increasing the lifespan of machinery.
Tata Consultancy Services and Siemens have unveiled a new collaboration focused on innovation in the Internet of Things (IoT). Targeting customers in the manufacturing, energy, building technology, healthcare, and rail sectors, this collaboration will leverage new data-driven insights and services from MindSphere, Siemens' open, cloud-based IoT operating system.
