Matooma has announced an agreement with Vodafone. This partnership will combine Vodafone's global IoT network, connectivity platform, and IoT expertise with Matooma's management platform and experience with connected devices. The agreement will help expand IoT opportunities for startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
With this agreement, Matooma becomes Vodafone's first IoT distributor in the French market. Matooma will be able to distribute Vodafone's IoT products to complement its global portfolio of solutions. Furthermore, this will provide Matooma with the opportunity to develop innovative offerings and deliver strong value to its customers.
Complementary alliance with Matooma's current offer
This agreement with Vodafone complements the multi-operator offer that Matooma is already offering in the different markets in which it operates (smart metering, security, health, smart building and energy).
Matooma is a leader in this sector with the launch of a universal SIM card capable of connecting objects to each other. The unique feature of the MatooCard is its ability to connect to the best available GSM network (from any partner operator) wherever it is located. In the event of a primary network outage, the SIM card will search for the second available network and connect directly to ensure service continuity. And with the M2MManager SaaS platform, centralized management of SIM-connected objects is possible.
Matooma and Vodafone will work together to offer a complete solution tailored to the market. Thanks to this agreement, Matooma will be able to market Vodafone's offerings starting in the second half of 2017.
