Founded 20 years ago by Marshall Hart, MetricTest has achieved significant business growth and, like Microlease, has forged strong relationships with most of the leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), including Agilent Technologies, Tektronix, Advantest, Anritsu, Keithley, and Rohde & Schwarz. Effective immediately, Microlease's CEO, Nigel Brown, will serve as Chairman, leading MetricTest's executive board. Vern Stevenson, MetricTest's President and Chief Operating Officer, will be the CEO.
As a result of this acquisition, Microlease expects its US revenues to exceed $50 million in the current fiscal year, and more than $90 million in the following 12 months.
“We are pleased to announce the successful acquisition of MetricTest, a respected US-based company with an excellent reputation for providing high-quality customer service,” said Nigel Brown, CEO of Microlease. He added, “The two companies are an excellent match and share many positive characteristics, including a high level of engineering expertise among their sales staff. We believe this latest acquisition will be an important part of our ongoing commitment to meeting the growing global demand for testing and measurement equipment and services.”
