Both companies will contribute more than 400 employees to the Phoenix Contact Group, making the acquisition of these companies the most important acquisition in Phoenix Contact's business history.
Martin Schweitzer, founder and until now owner of SKS, has been collaborating with Phoenix Contact for 20 years and will continue to manage the company Pulsotronic Anlagentechnik GmbH.
The acquisition of SKS strengthens Phoenix Contact's market position in the connectivity technology solutions sector. Furthermore, Pulsotronic's expertise in sensor technology applications provides a valuable complement to the increasingly digital solutions offered by customers and industries.
“We are delighted to continue our long-standing collaboration in this way,” says Martin Schweitzer, founder of the company. “With its international presence, Phoenix Contact provides an ideal framework for the SKS Group to continue its success.” Frank Stührenberg, CEO of the Phoenix Contact Group, adds: “Further developing technological collaborations for the benefit of our customers is part of Phoenix Contact’s business philosophy. In this respect, the acquisition of SKS Kontakttechnik was a logical step, as it enriches our core business. Pulsotronic offers valuable complements to our specific solutions.”
Both the Advisory Board and the shareholders of the Phoenix Contact Group have been closely monitoring the progress of these successful acquisitions. The transaction is subject to approval by the Antitrust Commission.
