With this agreement, Polycom aims to increase the availability of high-quality Polycom desktop phones to a wider range of customers and partners. Furthermore, this agreement reinforces Polycom's commitment to the global network of service providers for VoIP solutions.
According to Mary McDowell, CEO of Polycom, “the strategic acquisition of the Obihai team and its software platform allows Polycom to advance our strategy to deliver the best human experience in our audio and video solutions.” She added that the integration of Obihai, with a view to 2018 and beyond, “will immediately open new markets and revenue opportunities for Polycom. The combined development team will enable Polycom to bring our excellent products to customers faster.”.
