Thanks to this transaction, Templus adds 6.5 MW to its installed capacity, which will exceed 60 MW by 2026 thanks to the recent acquisition agreement for nine Atlas Edge data centers in Spain, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Switzerland. Templus will undertake a series of upgrades at all these facilities to improve their operational capacity, increasing both their power output and footprint. Furthermore, they will be equipped with the highest standards of sustainability and energy efficiency, reflecting the company's strong commitment to ESG criteria. This will allow them to meet the requirements for Tier III certification.
For its part, Grupo Aire is strengthening its network and consolidating its capacity to offer high-quality connectivity and cloud services to businesses and organizations, benefiting from planned improvements to its data centers and expanded access to the entire Templus network as a strategic partner (Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, Seville, and soon, Ceuta). All of this is being done while maintaining seamless customer service and management, both in its own data centers (Alicante, Talavera de la Reina, and the Canary Islands) and now across the entire Templus network, allowing it to continue driving the development of its cloud platform and the creation of advanced solutions.
According to Nacho Velilla, CEO of Templus: “The deal we have closed with Grupo Aire is of great importance to Templus. On the one hand, it expands our presence in Spain, and on the other, it allows us to enter Portugal, a key market in our international expansion. With this integration, Templus reinforces its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence, offering its clients a broader, more efficient, and more resilient network of data centers. Furthermore, we have entered into a long-term strategic agreement with a leading operator in connectivity and cloud services, Grupo Aire.”
Javier Polo, CEO of Grupo Aire, states: “This strategic agreement allows us to strengthen our coverage and, at the same time, focus on accelerating our leadership in cloud computing, with innovative solutions and improved service for our clients. The agreement with Templus gives us the agility we need to remain at the forefront of digital business transformation in Spain.”
