The Row 44 satellite system is designed to operate over land, water, and across international borders, enabling seamless service delivery by both domestic and international operators. The Row 44 system leverages the existing capabilities of a Ku-band satellite system. Customers connect to the system wirelessly from inside the aircraft cabin, enabled by the SMU and MDU.
AP Avionx was initially selected by Row 44 in late 2006 to design and manufacture the subsystems, drawing on AP Laboratories' extensive experience in ruggedized airborne systems for the military and commercial markets.
