Today, Somfy is expanding the compatibility of its ecosystem with the Netatmo Smart Thermostat and Thermostatic Valves to offer users a simplified and unified connected home experience.
This new compatibility will allow TaHoma users to control their heating in an even more intuitive way, and optimize the automation of elements that protect the home from solar radiation, such as blinds or curtains, based on the indoor temperature.
Users will be able to:
• Manage the entire ecosystem from their TaHoma app.
• In winter, adapt the heating schedule to their daily habits for optimal thermal comfort and energy savings. Like other connected devices, heating can be easily managed through various scenarios. For example, in the 'Arrival' scenario, the lights turn on, the alarm is deactivated, and the thermostat switches to comfort mode when someone arrives home. When the last person leaves, the lights and other electrical appliances turn off, and the heating switches to away mode with the 'Departure' scenario.
• In summer, optimize the automation of the home's sunshades based on the indoor temperature, thanks to the sensor integrated into Netatmo thermostats/thermostatic controls. This way, the blinds close to prevent the risk of overheating when the indoor temperature rises too high. This allows for maximum use of elements such as curtains or awnings, improving comfort and reducing the need for air conditioning.
Netatmo and Somfy have announced advancements in their collaboration to enable users to better manage their thermal comfort. The Legrand Group, which includes Netatmo, and Somfy are long-standing partners. The TaHoma connected box, developed by Somfy, is already compatible with several Legrand solutions, including some Netatmo products such as the Air Quality Sensor and the Weather Station.
