As Santiago Rey, CEO of Televés Corporación, pointed out, ACTIVAGE Galicia reaches 700 households throughout the autonomous community, with profiles of users of social and healthcare services whose collaboration will serve to validate the integration of services into a single device, linking physical elements, such as sensors and actuators, with the virtual world of information processing. Rey highlighted the role of all the stakeholders involved in the initiative, at an event that also included the participation of the Minister of Health, Jesús Vázquez Almuiña; the Minister of Social Policy, José Manuel Rey Varela; the Director of Amtega, Mar Pereira; and the Councilor for Equality and Social Policy of Santiago de Compostela, Concepción Fernández Fernández.
Regarding the project's progress, Sebastián Pantoja, ID Director at Televés, highlighted that more than 1,200 devices have been deployed in Galicia to date. These include home security sensors (fire, gas), presence detectors, and medical parameter monitoring devices (coagulometer, blood pressure monitor, scale), among others. The ACTIVAGE platform has managed approximately 10,000 alarms generated by these devices in the homes where they have been deployed.
Technical Review of the ACTIVAGE Project:
On the first day of the evaluation, the Consortium members presented the European Commission with the milestones achieved, the progress made, and the forecasts for the continuation of the ACTIVAGE project.
The Televés Corporación facilities served as a demonstration site for the various pilot projects that are part of the ACTIVAGE project and for the application of interoperability between Internet of Things platforms.
Likewise, participants in the Galicia pilot program shared their experiences and perceptions of the improved quality of life at home and the enhanced care process, thanks to telehealth, with attendees and reviewers. The reviewers also had the opportunity to visit a real home where the technologies being piloted in ACTIVAGE Galicia have been deployed.
