Equinix has selected the Infinera Nube Xpress to serve the growing need for high-capacity customer interconnection between Equinix facilities in the same metropolitan area, helping its customers grow and extend their ecosystems beyond the confines of a single efficient building.
Ideal for interconnecting high-performance data centers, Cloud Xpress leverages Infinera's unique integrated photonic circuit technology to support up to one terabit per second (Tb/s) of inbound and outbound capacity in just two rack units. Cloud Xpress also simplifies operations by using only a single fiber to deliver a full-capacity DWDM line-side super channel. Its powerful rack-and-stack form factor allows Equinix to scale while using minimal space and power compared to similar platforms. Furthermore, Cloud Xpress is designed with the flexibility to adapt to any data center operating model and offers multiple management options, including integration with existing SDN cloud provisioning systems.
