In the deployment, carried out in one week, AkiWiFi has used Cambium Networks' Multi Gigabit Wireless technology, using the 60GHz band, bringing these companies speeds similar to those of terrestrial fiber (100, 300, 500… Mb up to 1Giga) through wireless connections, without the need to carry out a terrestrial wired deployment.
The pilot program, which lasted two months and during which all the infrastructure was verified and tested, offered speeds of 200 megabytes, and currently the standard connection is 300 megabytes
The terrestrial fiber optic point is 1.5 km from the industrial park, in the town of Valld'alba, where the AkiWiFi backbone has been located, connected to the industrial park with a 500 Megas point-to-multipoint system and, from there, to the antennas of the companies.
