According to the agreement, Hughes will be responsible for the implementation, support, and management of all elements of the network that provide critical connectivity for more than 300 geographically diverse and remote monitoring sites in a large number of countries around the world.

The fully managed private IP network will primarily utilize the industry-leading Hughes JUPITER™ system, which includes a combination of terrestrial and satellite MPLS links supported by a blend of 3G/4G, IPVPN, and BGAN technologies. As a fully redundant global service, it will provide highly resilient and secure connectivity from remote monitoring sites to the organization's headquarters, including individual site redundancy across the network.

“For many years, Hughes has been leading the industry in providing global managed services that are flexible, reliable, and cost-effective,” said Ramesh Ramaswamy, senior vice president of International at Hughes. “The critical work carried out by this global organization requires a network solution that offers exceptionally high availability and security, with the ability to connect a large number of geographically diverse sites regardless of their location. Hughes is honored to have been chosen as the trusted managed services provider to support these important efforts.”.

As part of the turnkey solution, Hughes is responsible for obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals to install sites in multiple countries, managing the logistics of shipping and dispatching equipment globally, and continuously monitoring the network to ensure it meets stringent service-level agreements. This includes the resources to rapidly deploy technicians to restore outages in time-critical remote locations around the world. Hughes' dedicated program management team will also support any potential feature and traffic expansion as needed.
