Philippe Vanhille, Executive Vice President of the Telecommunications Division at the Prysmian Group, stated, "We welcome today's decision by the European Commission and it is reassuring to see that Europe can act firmly against unfair practices. Fair competition must be ensured in the interest of our customers and stakeholders, to guarantee a sustainable supply of quality components for building Europe's optical infrastructure."

Vanhille continued: "We believe it is essential to maintain high quality standards in the fiber optic segment to ensure faster and more stable optical networks, cost-effective and environmentally friendly installations, lower operating costs, and a longer network lifespan. Only in this way can we guarantee the integrity of the network infrastructure, increase stability across all bands, and open up possibilities for system evolution."
