Mobile data revenues will expand at a CAGR of 12.9%, from an estimated $469 million in 2018 to $862 million by 2023, driven by increased data consumption and operators' investments in LTE/LTE-A networks.
Ivan Maldonado, technology analyst at GlobalData, comments: “Fixed broadband revenues will increase at a CAGR of 12.8% between 2018 and 2023, driven by steady growth in service adoption, particularly through FTTH/B technology. Continued investments in fiber optic networks by the dominant operator ICE and Tigo will be the key drivers of fixed broadband revenue growth during the forecast period.”.
Revenue from the pay-TV service will increase from approximately $281 million in 2018 to $356 million in 2023. The growth will be primarily driven by the increasing adoption of pay-TV services as part of multi-game service packages, as well as the growth of the ARPS service.
