The plant, located in Puente la Reina (Navarra), is one of Schneider Electric's main production centers in Spain and supplies the group's needs for all of Europe. The factory is also one of the five product development centers from which the company supports the group's global offerings.
Enrique Valer, Managing Director of the Iberian Zone for Schneider Electric, commented: “This new project is a reward for our unwavering support, for our production centers and our professionals, as well as for the excellent results we, as a country, have been delivering to the group.”
This unique characteristic of the plant was one of the determining factors in awarding this global project to Schneider Electric Spain, which increases the group's investment policy in the country. This follows an initial investment of €20 million—made through MESA, a Schneider Electric group company—for the construction of the company's new plant in Mungia (Basque Country), and demonstrates Schneider Electric's full support for the production capacity and high level of competitiveness of its nine production centers on the Iberian Peninsula.
Furthermore, the new project will allow the company to enhance its efforts in innovation and equality policies in Spain, as well as maintain the appropriate level of permanent investment in its workplaces, as a measure to boost competitiveness.
