This collaboration is notable for the implementation of innovative solutions that offer scalability, energy efficiency, and comprehensive support, enabling Oxigen to position itself as a leader in high-performance data centers in Spain. Oxigen's second and largest data center in Sant Cugat del Vallès boasts an impressive 6,000 m² of space, including a 3,000 m² cleanroom and capacity for up to 800 racks with multiple power options and customizations to meet market needs, such as continuously evolving AI projects. While the current infrastructure occupies only a portion of the available space, it is designed for exponential growth. The data center is designed according to the Uptime Institute's Tier III criteria, certifying that the facilities meet high standards of availability and redundancy, ensuring greater resilience and connectivity.
Vertiv technology is essential for the smooth operation and continuous functioning of the data center. The high-performance Vertiv™ Liebert® AFC provides precise temperature and coolant flow, while the Vertiv™ Liebert® CRV, which allow for humidity and temperature control, are installed near the most demanding racks. Direct expansion units can also be added to accommodate anticipated growth in facility capacity. This combination of adaptable technologies results in greater management efficiency and cost savings.
Vertiv has provided Vertiv™ Powerbar iMPB busbar systems to distribute power to equipment racks, significantly increasing flexibility and scalability for the future.
In addition, Vertiv has also provided Vertiv™ Critical Insight, a standalone software that empowers staff to visualize everything happening in the data center in real time, enabling continuous monitoring of any critical digital infrastructure and its on-site or remote deployments. Critical Insight notifies monitoring staff about current equipment conditions, trends, and analytics. It provides recommendations on actions staff can take as equipment reaches benchmark thresholds, and the designated on-site person makes the necessary adjustments, either physically on-site or remotely if the controls can be managed remotely.
