In both the morning sessions on SPE technology and the afternoon's use case focus, participants from various Asian countries gained an in-depth understanding of SPE applications in the process industry, particularly regarding the advanced physical layer (APL), from design to installation guidelines. Discussions also took place on other industrial application opportunities, both in existing applications and potential new implementations. Here, hosts and participants focused on the added value of SPE in key application areas within the industrial environment and building automation. Subsequent sessions explored SPE applications in other industries and markets.
In subsequent sessions, discussions opened up regarding the applications of SPE in other industries and markets. The exchange of useful applications of SPE technology was the most important topic for the participants. Experts and participants engaged in a lively exchange about potential application areas based on applications already implemented in the market or currently under development.
It was a pleasure for the SPE Industrial Partner Network to welcome more than 50 participants to this first SPE roundtable in Taiwan. Their positive feedback, along with requests for further roundtables, are essential for the network to propel SPE's journey worldwide.
Partner
Network, headquartered in Rahden, Westphalia, is an equal partnership of companies promoting Single Pair Ethernet technology as the foundation for the rapid and successful growth of the IIoT. The partnership aims to establish SPE in the market as a new Ethernet technology within a comprehensive ecosystem containing all the necessary components.
At the same time, it is a potential partner of Industrial Ethernet user groups in adapting this new "physical layer" for PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, CC-LinkIE, for example.
