Powered by the new Intel® Xeon® ES-2600 v4 processor, with DDR4 memory and frequencies up to 2400MHz, the latest generation of Fujitsu PRIMERGY dual-socket server systems are designed to handle workloads quickly while maintaining low power consumption. This efficiency is further enhanced by reduced cooling costs, thanks to Fujitsu's advanced Cool-Safe® thermal design.
The PRIMEFLEX vShape represents an integrated “out of the box” system for the data center, comprised of industry-standard networking, storage, and servers, which are optimized to handle virtual workloads.
It is vShape's flexibility that allows companies to quickly deploy solutions that meet exactly their immediate needs, regardless of how far they are on the path to virtualization, and it is also easy to scale in the future to meet demand.
The system is available in validated packages of several different sizes, starting with just 25 virtual machines to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses and going up to 2,400 virtual machine configurations designed for large organizations. This approach offers “standardized customization,” as each customer can quickly implement the right combination of features or outcomes with the peace of mind that comes from knowing all the elements work together.
On the other hand, Fujitsu SELECT Channel partners also benefit from the way PRIMEFLEX vShape offers this "standardized customization," as it is easy to install and each configuration comes with an intuitive, step-by-step installation guide or the company's professional services.
Furthermore, it's important to note that depending on each customer's requirements, vShape's delivery functionality can be further tailored, for example, by adding disks to increase storage capacity, including disaster recovery, or by incorporating backup into the ETERNUS CS200c appliance. Customers can also choose between VMware or Microsoft virtualization, allowing them to use either VMware Horizon View or Citrix XenDesktop for their virtual desktop infrastructure. Likewise, the integrated system can be used to offer not only virtualization but also private cloud deployments. For the latter, customers only need to deploy the validated VMware vRealize cloud management software. PRIMEFLEX vShape also offers a highly competitive alternative for organizations where all-in-one, hyperconverged storage is not the most suitable system.
