GatewaysPatton, which remains a family-owned company, has launched a whole new generation of SIP VoIP communications products that enable a seamless transition to the next generation of Internet communication: Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6).

Future-proof. Whether converting older technology equipment to IP or preserving PSTN access for IP-based voice networks, the new SmartNode series offers SMEs—and the service providers that serve them—a scalable solution protected against obsolescence as IPv6 becomes global.

In addition to future-proof, IPv6-ready hardware, the 4970, 4980, and 4990 product lines offer PSTN transmission support for enhanced voice and data survivability and optional SIP transcoding for improved interoperability – plus highly scalable models that are upgradeable in the range of 30 to 120 voice/call channels, offering flexible growth.

The SN4970 gateway, SN4980 router, and SN4990 integrated access device (IAD) have been designed to achieve maximum cost-effectiveness in SIP and unified communications.
