The improvements to FRITZ!Apps include a redesigned Mesh network overview in the MyFRITZ!App, which displays FRITZ! products and home network devices connected to the wireless network, giving users a clear view of their network at a glance. Users can also name their devices within the app and prioritize internet access for specific devices, such as their work laptop.
Another important new feature is the management of home automation scenes, which allow you to configure different Smart Home devices according to different situations, and which can now be conveniently controlled from your mobile phone or tablet using the FRITZ!App Smart Home.
Control all your devices at a glance with the MyFRITZ App
The MyFRITZ!App, which lets you see which devices are connected to your wireless network even when you're away from home, now offers greater visibility into mesh networks made up of a large number of devices. Thanks to the FRITZ!OS 7.50 update, users can see which router, repeater, or network adapter each device is connected to, as well as the quality of its Wi-Fi connection. They can also rename devices and prioritize bandwidth access, for example, to prioritize traffic for work or school computers.
In its iOS version, MyFRITZ!App now also helps users configure mobile access to their FRITZ!Box router's user interface using a wizard.
Easier management of home automation scenes thanks to FRITZ!App Smart Home
FRITZ!App Smart Home is AVM's application designed for the smart home, allowing you to control the brand's own devices (such as smart plugs and thermostats), as well as those from other home automation manufacturers. With the FRITZ!OS 7.50 update, scene management has been improved, enabling you to configure multiple smart devices based on a specific scenario or time of day using predefined templates.
For example, upon arriving home, users can adjust the climate control to their comfort temperature, turn on the lights, and deactivate the answering machine, all with a simple click on the FRITZ!App Smart Home app on their mobile phone. There is also a preset scene for leaving home, and users can create their own custom scenes.
The FRITZ!Apps are available for free download from the Apple and Android app stores. Meanwhile, AVM continues the rollout of the new FRITZ!OS 7.50 version across all its products on the market.
