Their most important property is that they provide wide and continuous tuning without mode jumps. They have high power, a narrow linewidth, and low dispersion. Scans can be performed at the highest resolution. This unique combination of characteristics makes them stand out in their field and allows researchers to perform measurements at the quantum limit.
Mode switching is prevented by an innovative opto-mechanical design (patent US9960569B2) along with an active feedback loop called SMILE (Single Mode Intelligent Loop Engine) that keeps the laser in the same mode at all times. With the fully digital, low-noise, low-dispersion DLC pro controller, the CTL laser is easy to use and operate via the touchscreen and controls, as well as remotely through the PC's graphical user interface and command language (Python SDK). A test system mode can characterize components or record spectra.

A new member of the family: CTL 900.
The latest addition to this family is the CTL 900. It is tunable between 880 nm and 950 nm. This much-anticipated wavelength range is especially useful for resonantly exciting quantum dots, for spectroscopy, or for addressing, for example, rare-earth ions or the cesium D1 line.
Production has already begun, and the first devices are operational, setting a new standard in the laboratory. Contact us to order a CTL 900 for your application. We are initiating collaborations to enable pioneering science in this wavelength range.
