Digi's Wireless Connectivity Kit provides step-by-step examples and guidance for creating reliable wireless communications, work control systems, and sensor networks. The kit includes two development boards featuring XBee Grove adapters, which provide interconnectivity capabilities with the Seeed Studio Grove modular system. The kit also includes two micro-USB cables, an XBee 802.15.4 module, and an XBee-PRO 802.15.4 module.
        
XBee modules utilize the IEEE 802.15.4 network protocol for fast point-to-multipoint or peer-to-peer connections and are designed for high-performance applications requiring low latency and predictable communication synchronization. XBee 802.15.4 modules are ideal for low-power and low-cost applications. The modules are fully compatible with other XBee products using the same technology, allowing users to replace one XBee module with another with minimal development time and risk. The modules provide up to 250 kbps of RF data, with outdoor line-of-sight transmission distances of up to 30.5 meters (XBee 802.15.4) or 1610 meters (802.15.4 XBee-PRO).
