This new development impresses not only with its higher airflow, up to 1,000 m3/h, but also with its greater flexibility, ease of assembly, and IP 55 protection rating. Furthermore, the use of EC technology enables energy-efficient and high-capacity climate control for distribution cabinets.

In control and distribution installations, ceiling fans are the first choice when it comes to exhausting heat upwards, above the cabinets. This is the case, for example, in pre-assembled distribution cabinets that don't offer space for wall-mounted filter fans or whose airflow requirements are higher than average.

Rittal is expanding its range of solutions for climate control in control cabinets with a new generation of ceiling fans. This modern design offers an extended airflow range, from a passive variant for natural convection to the 1,000 m³/h category, including the 500 and 800 m³/h categories. Maximum airflow is achieved with a mounting cutout of only 258 x 258 mm. Furthermore, the standardized mounting cutout across all power categories facilitates a high degree of standardization for control and distribution system manufacturers. The optimized airflow design, with reduced pressure drop, results in peak efficiency.

The new snap-fit mounting system ensures maximum flexibility when installing and removing ceiling fans. The mounting can be done either inside or outside the distribution cabinet, depending on where more space is available. Electrical connection via a plug-in terminal block is just as easy as changing the filter mat, thanks to optimal accessibility.

Thanks to an ingenious labyrinth system and a high-quality foam seal, the ceiling fans now offer IP55 protection (previously IP43) as standard, including the filter mat. Consequently, Rittal ceiling fans are also suitable for use in demanding industrial environments.

Starting at airflow rates of 1,000 m³/h, EC fans ensure maximum energy efficiency. Fan control, as well as monitoring of RPM and operation, is possible thanks to the integrated control interface, which includes a tachometer signal output.
