Fully adjustable rails on both the front and rear allow for maximum utilization of the cabinet's interior space. Four zero-U spaces on the front and rear of the cabinet allow for the mounting of half-height zero-U panels, which can be installed in any of the four quadrants. The 19-inch zero-U panels provide 2U of mounting space each, offering up to 16U of additional space for any combination of 19-inch patch panels or fiber cabinets.
Accessibility is a key feature of the new enclosure, and the 1000mm or 1200mm depth options are precisely measured, allowing full access to the raised floor tiles adjacent to the front and rear of the enclosures. This ensures compliance with the 1.2-meter aisle clearance recommended by ISO/IEC 14763-2 and EN 50600-2-4. The quick-release tab allows the doors to be removed rapidly; furthermore, the front and rear doors are fully reversible. Optimized side access is also provided by split side panels, allowing easy access to the installed equipment. The side panels feature integrated earthing points, secured with spring clips, eliminating the need for dedicated earthing equipment.
Thermal efficiency is achieved with the V800 thanks to its curved doors, constructed with 71 percent perforation, exceeding the airflow requirements of leading equipment manufacturers. Furthermore, the cabinet roof includes four integrated protective brushes to ensure cables can be routed into the cabinet without compromising thermal integrity. Additional thermal management options are available for the V800, including fans and vertical exhaust ducts. Siemon also offers non-mountable blanking plates to utilize any unused space within the cabinet, further optimizing thermal efficiency.
Available in 42U, 45U, and 48U heights, with depths of 1000mm or 1200mm, the high-capacity V800 enclosure is designed to be lightweight yet extremely stable, providing a dynamic load rating of 1021kg and a static load rating of 1361kg. It can be used alongside Siemon's standard V600 enclosures or Premium VersaPOD enclosures and shares a visually identical design. The V800 features its own dedicated range of accessories, including various cable management options, protective brushes, and blanking panels.
