The complete copper network management system includes key components such as a 625 x 625 line to any ADF, copper head and gold modem testing, test access switching, and a remote power converter.

“With increasing data volumes as new technology trends, such as the Smart Home, have finally materialized, network reliability has never been more critical for operators,” said Frank Kaufhold, CEO of UTEL. “Robo-Cab eliminates the higher costs and risk of human error that come with manually managing interconnect technology. This will allow operators to regain control of their network management.”
Using Robo-Cab offers numerous business benefits, including eliminating operating expenses and facilitating exceptional customer service; fully automating provisioning and repair processes; providing remote, tamper-free cross-connects; and eliminating harness winding and human error.
“We developed Robo-Cab to give operators the option of continuing to use their existing copper solutions and providing a temporary solution while fiber infrastructure deployment is completed,” Kaufhold continued. “With copper lines still representing the majority of home connections, its use provides a cost-effective and economically justified outcome.”
UTEL will be available to explain how Robo-Cab can help monitor the copper network, at Stand C1 at the Broadband World Forum 2014, in Amsterdam, from Tuesday, October 21 to Thursday, October 23.
