The HeiPac Vario family is available as a standard 19-inch subrack system in various versions ranging from 3 to 11U in height, different widths (42, 63, and 84 HP), and custom sizes. Its modular nature makes it extremely popular. Versions such as the HeiPac Vario ECO, HeiPac EASY, and HeiPac Vario HEAVY complete the range, enabling virtually any desired individual configuration.
A cost-effective, clip-based solution for mounting cover plates to subracks is now available. The high-quality stainless steel clip attaches to the subrack's side panel using just one screw, greatly simplifying cover plate attachment. However, it remains as versatile as the rest of the product range: available in seven different designs and lengths from 30 mm to 240 mm, it allows for easy adjustment across the entire subrack range and is compatible with cover plate designs 1 to 4 of the HEITEC HeiPac Vario subrack family, as well as the ECO and EASY designs. EMC applications are also supported if the mounting clips are installed along the full depth of the subrack. The mounting clip has been further tested for use in mobile applications according to EN 50155 and passed with flying colors.
The new rear cover for the 19" HeiPac Vario subrack family acts as a protective shield for the subrack's cable management compartment. This affordable and easy-to-fit cover is made of high-quality aluminum with a clear chrome finish. The depth of the side panel is determined by the length of the drive bays used, plus 85 mm. In the standard version, its width is 84 HP, and its height can be either 3U or 6U, or customized, making it suitable for the entire HeiPac Vario family, including EMC applications. The only prerequisite for installation is the use of a horizontal top-mount rail, which HEITEC also offers.
The wide range of accessories, including cover and base plates, panels, and front and rear tabs, provides maximum flexibility. Since many of the elements are based on this modular system, using the same horizontal rails and system components, and can therefore be used across all HeiPac series, the cost benefits become fully realized and development time is minimized. Even the most demanding applications can be implemented quickly and cost-effectively.
