The ÖLFLEX® ROBOT 909 is designed for continuous use under high mechanical stress and features balanced bending and torsional properties. Its robust construction is particularly effective in applications involving multi-axis movements, such as gantry robots for intralogistics or compact production cells with tightly guided energy chains. The ÖLFLEX® ROBOT 909 and ÖLFLEX® ROBOT 909 D variants are each designed for two million bending and torsional cycles. This significantly contributes to high system availability, process reliability, and minimized downtime in modern production environments.
The ÖLFLEX® ROBOT 909, the flagship product in the "Basic Line" performance class, is specifically designed for flexible automation applications. A special conductor braiding enables simultaneous bending and twisting with twist angles of up to ±180 degrees per meter, as is common in robotics and handling applications. The robust yet flexible PVC outer sheath reliably protects the cable from mechanical stress and allows for continuous use in moving machine parts and cable carriers with horizontal runs of up to five meters. Furthermore, the cable is suitable for dry, damp, and wet environments, resistant to acids and alkalis, has limited oil resistance, and, depending on the temperature range, is also suitable for outdoor use.
For applications with a high potential for electromagnetic interference, the shielded ÖLFLEX® ROBOT 909 D variant is available. This ensures signal transmission with low interference and high process stability. UL certification allows its use in the North American market, while additional approvals facilitate international standardization of machine designs and reduce the diversity of variants in procurement and logistics.
The range is further enhanced by the new ÖLFLEX® SERVO FD 797 CP, specifically developed for servo applications and use in cable carriers. This cable is designed to withstand high mechanical stresses under continuous motion and combines a robust design with significantly improved ease of installation. The optimized cable construction, without filler strands, and an easily separable inner sheath allow for time savings of up to 50% during cable preparation for assembly, compared to conventional cables with filler strands. At the same time, the simplified construction ensures significantly cleaner and more efficient processing. This increased speed and cleanliness represent a clear added value for cable assemblers.
The ÖLFLEX® SERVO FD 797 CP exceeds the requirements of the "Extended Line" performance class and is suitable for long travel distances, high accelerations, and demanding motion profiles. Low-capacitance conductor insulation promotes low-loss transmission paths, while a dense copper braid shield provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference.
The PUR outer jacket is highly resistant to mineral oil-based lubricants, drilling fluids, chemicals, and weathering, and allows for outdoor use at temperatures as low as -40°C. UL/CSA certification also enables its use in North American markets.
