Since its launch, Harwin has developed several other updates, which it has implemented today.
These updates introduce several new features, including the ability to specify assemblies for fail-safe applications, a wider range of 3D model formats, and the instant generation of 2D drawings in PDF format. Engineers can now also specify mixed power and signal connector designs for the Gecko range, select various wire gauges, choose from standard cable lengths of 150 mm, 300 mm, and 450 mm, define cable color options, and indicate the required cable lengths.
Engineers using the online tool can configure high-performance, high-reliability connectors in a single- or double-ended cable assembly by simply selecting a few key design parameters. A real-time 3D representation is then automatically created and can be downloaded along with technical drawings, part numbers, and the option to request a quote.
These fully functional configurations ensure compliance with specifications and can be delivered within very short lead times.
Users can also reverse engineer designs to generate configurations and budgets for existing solutions.
