The tactile and audible click ensures a secure connection. With a simple 20° twist of the plug's locking ring, the connector can be easily disconnected. Furthermore, the protection rating has been increased to IP68/IP69K when connected. The connectors have undergone leak testing for a minimum of one hour at a depth of 1.8 m, which corresponds to 1 fathom—a measurement commonly used in the marine industry and which has become part of the brand name.

“We are delighted to have Aquarius Fathomlock join our portfolio ,” said Marco Walser, EMEA Product Manager for Circular Connectors at Amphenol Tuchel Industrial. “With its time-saving mating system, the connector system sets a new standard for reliability and ease of use in the field of water-resistant plastic connectors.
