HartingPushPul connectorThe Han® PushPull Variant 14 is the preferred connector for decentralized field automation for data transmission and power supply, in accordance with the guidelines of the PROFIBUS Users' Organization and the Automation Initiative (AIDA – German Automobile Manufacturers' Automation Initiative). Highly automated assembly lines utilize a wide range of tooling applications, such as joining techniques, handling applications, and sensor or imaging elements, particularly in manufacturing robots. Therefore, individual signal and data communication processes are required, despite all the defined standards for data handling. In addition to communication and power standards, the transmission of analog, digital, bus, and low-voltage control signals must be ensured.
The HARTING PushPull signal connector transmits rated currents of 5 A across 10 contacts with cable cross-sections up to 0.75 mm². To ensure immunity to EMC interference, the contact insulators are fully shielded, like RJ45 data connectors, and shielded cables can be connected. The push-pull locking mechanism ensures reliable and intuitive contact insertion. An audible click indicates that the locking is successful.
Push-pull signal connectors also support hybrid applications. For example, part of the contact face can be used for power transmission, while the remaining contacts are available for communication. Push-pull signal connectors are available in the Push-pull Variant 14 and Variant 4 series, as defined in IEC 610766107.
