RS Components (RS) has increased its RS Pro range of professional and affordable components by expanding its connector offering.Designed to be alternatives to the more expensive basic products available on the market, the new RS Pro connection devices are suitable for a variety of uses in general electronics, industrial, instrumentation, medical and consumer applications, as well as being suitable for use in harsh environments.
The new RS Pro products include IP68 watertight connectors with robust plastic housings and panel and cable mounting options available in 13, 17, and 21 mm. Also introduced were M8 and M12 washdown connectors with IP69K sealing, ideal for use in the food and beverage industry. These connectors come with a plastic housing and stainless steel coupling nuts, making them resistant to chemicals and oil.
Other new additions include a range of halogen-free cable assemblies that expand the existing range of halogen-free power cables, suitable for both office and industrial applications; white DC power connectors ideal for many medical and consumer applications. Available in 2.1 and 2.5 mm sizes, these connectors are rated at 12V/5A and come with solder and PCB markings. Also introduced are pluggable male and female PCB terminal blocks, approved to UL and VDE standards and available in a wide range of pin spacings.
