The new generation of these modules is now available for CC-Link, Ethernet/IP and ProfinetBalluff's I/O modules, with up to 32 inputs and outputs, feature a robust housing, a flat profile with rounded edges, large and clear displays, and extremely easy installation with only 2 docking points.
It is possible to view parameters such as transmission speed, node address, and hardware and software information to easily perform diagnostics and check system availability.
Mechanical switches, such as rotary selectors, which are prone to damage, can be completely eliminated. This makes the new IP67 generation even more robust and reliable than the previous series.
It features a high-resolution display with powerful backlighting. Menu entry and selection are performed using two keys. A special feature is the integrated tamper protection. This means the display can be locked from the PLC, preventing unauthorized access.
They also incorporate a search and rescue function. Two LEDs controlled from the PLC allow for the visualization of predefined events directly at the location where they occur, even if they are not specific to the module (or port).
The integrated web server is also noteworthy, a feature specific to the Profinet and Ethernet/IP versions. Using a standard web browser, the user has access to comprehensive diagnostic functions and can view all the LED indicators located on the module. In "device properties," it is possible to configure, for example, the devices connected to the IO-Link port. Other functions, such as IP address assignment, are available in the "configurations" function.
