Anybus CompactCom is a range of embedded communication interfaces that provides automation devices with connectivity to any industrial network—both fieldbuses and Industrial Ethernet. HMS is now expanding the Anybus CompactCom 40 series to include connectivity to the CC-Link IE Field industrial Ethernet network, which operates at gigabit speeds at the field level.
Available in two certified formats (form factors)
Fully certified by the CC-Link Users Association (CLPA), the Anybus CompactCom 40 series offers CC-Link IE Field connectivity in two formats:
• Module format, which allows instant connectivity for existing CompactCom users by simply connecting the CC-Link IE Field module.
• Brick format, ideal for users with limited space or who want to add network connectors of their own choosing.
CompactCom is designed to be embedded in a host automation device, enabling it to communicate quickly with any industrial network. Designing an automation device in Anybus CompactCom is fast thanks to the accompanying sample controller code and the configuration file (CSP+) provided by HMS.
Designed for slave communication in CC-Link IE Field networks, the Anybus CompactCom can handle up to 1536 bytes of process data in each direction, making it suitable for most slave devices. The module supports generic device profiles and comes with a dual-port switch implemented in HMS's award-winning Anybus NP40 network processor.
By implementing the Anybus CompactCom concept, users gain access to all major industrial networks, now including CC-Link IE Field. Since Anybus CompactCom products are interchangeable in terms of both hardware and software, users can connect to any network simply by selecting the CompactCom of their choice. The networks available in the 40 series are: PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, PowerLink, PROFIBUS, DeviceNet, and CC-Link. Ten additional networks are also available through the Anybus CompactCom 30 series.
The new Anybus CompactCom 40 series products for CC-Link IE Field are available from November 1st.
