I/O module with safely interruptible segment for actuators
This all-in-one solution allows you to connect sensors and actuators to a single module. Simultaneously, you can safely disconnect the actuator segment via its separately switchable safety circuit, as this module is divided into two galvanically isolated segments.
To safely disconnect the power supply to the actuator segment, an external safety device is required. This allows the module to perform safety functions up to SIL2 according to EN62061.
The module can handle up to eight digital inputs and outputs. If the IO-Link connection is interrupted, the outputs assume predefined states. These states are maintained until the IO-Link connection is restored.
Thanks to its metal casing and IP67 water resistance, this module can be mounted on the periphery of the network without an electrical cabinet.
