Addressing the headend modules and easily mapping the I/O of the add-in modules, as is typical of the Radioline wireless system, is quick and straightforward using the rotary selectors on the front panel. I/O signals can be distributed over an RS-485 bus system without any programming or software configuration.
In addition to supporting up to 99 stations via a two-wire RS-485 bus, the new RS-485 stations can complement the Radioline wireless system to enable comprehensive I/O mapping. The stations can also operate in standalone mode with a Modbus master or RTU and connect directly to a control system.
For rugged applications in continuous-operation industrial environments, the Radioline product family's complementary I/O modules stand out due to their galvanized channel spacing and extended operating range of -40 to +70 °C. The system also offers a comprehensive suite of certifications, including ATEX, IECEx, and UL.
