The goal of TSN technology is to send critical data to the right place at the right time within a large-scale, converged IIoT network, realizing the manufacturing industry's dream of mass customization. This goes beyond simply reducing overall costs; it aims to truly transform production on the fly. At booth 231 in Hall 9, Moxa will present practical examples of a unified standard Ethernet infrastructure with guaranteed quality of service and deterministic low-latency environments. Visitors will be able to see examples of real-time machine-to-supervisor communication, real-time machine-to-machine communication, and guaranteed-latency machine communication, all based on standard Ethernet.
Moxa will also participate in various technology and standards groups, such as the Edge Computing Consortium (ECC), the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), the Labs Network Industry 4.0 (LNI 4.0), and the Ethernet POWERLINK Standardization Group (EPSG), and will conduct interoperability demonstrations at the trade show. All demonstrations will showcase the interoperability of Moxa's TSN switches with devices from other manufacturers in a standard Ethernet-based network infrastructure that can build the future of industrial automation and expand the possibilities of the IIoT and Industry 4.0.
"Moxa aims to develop transformative technologies that can benefit businesses and society, and to that end, it has diligently collaborated with key industry players to drive innovation, industry standards, proof of concept, testing platforms, and the successful commercialization of certified technology to continuously develop standards to meet the ongoing growth demand for connectivity and bandwidth," says Andy Cheng, President of Moxa Inc.'s Strategic Business Unit.
As part of its ongoing commitment to building innovative industrial connectivity technologies and solutions, Moxa has actively participated in three of the world's leading TSN interoperability test platforms: ECC, IIC, and LNI 4.0. Through these test platform activities, Moxa can rigorously test TSN interoperability and ensure that its implementation is stable and reliable before launching it to market.
“We are incredibly excited to have Moxa’s industrial Ethernet and networking expertise join the TSN community,” said Todd Walter, host of the IIC TSN Americas test platform and Chief Marketing Officer at National Instruments. “Our customers need an open and interoperable ecosystem of TSN-enabled devices. Moxa’s investments and participation in activities like the IIC TSN for flexible manufacturing test platforms will help ensure the interoperability of Ethernet switches.”.
“As an EPSG partner, Moxa brings invaluable expertise and great products to the vast OPC UA TSN ecosystem, covering the entire path from sensors to the cloud,” says Stefan Schönegger, Managing Director of the Ethernet POWERLINK Standardization Group (EPSG) and Vice President of Product Strategy and Innovation at B&R Industrial Automation. “At this year’s SPS trade fair, Moxa is participating in a joint demonstration combining open and standardized protocols with OPC UA TSN to create an open network infrastructure for real-time communication in the IIoT, leveraging the cost-effective advantages of standard Ethernet hardware.”
In addition to offering TSN demonstrations at their stand 231 in hall 9, Moxa will participate in joint demonstrations throughout the show area with the following leading organizations.
• Edge Computing Consortium (ECC) OPC UA TSN test platform at Fraunhofer, Hall 6, Booth 143.
• Ethernet POWERLINK Standardization Group (EPSG), Hall 5, Booth 306.
• EtherCAT Technology Group (ETG), Hall 5, Booth 310.
• Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) test platform, Hall 6, Booth 360.
• Labs Network Industry 4.0 test platform at the OPC Foundation, Hall 5, Booth 347.
• Joint demonstration by Intel, KUKA, TTTech, and Moxa at the Intel booth, Hall 5, Booth 350.
