The SIG300 enables easy integration into heterogeneous systems of devices and fieldbuses, thanks to SICK's Function Block Factory. With IP67 certification, eight IO-Link ports, and the capacity to process up to 102 digital signals, the SIG300 offers full functionality in a compact form factor that sets it apart from other IO-Link Masters on the market.
The SIG300 acts as an intelligent data intermediary, allowing real-time integration of information from sensors and actuators into computer platforms and cloud environments through interfaces such as JSON-REST API and MQTT.
Its compatibility with Ethernet fieldbuses, such as EtherCAT, PROFINET and EtherNet/IP, ensures flexible integration into multiple control architectures, facilitating connection to PLCs without the need for complex configurations.
The integrated IODD interpreter allows you to configure and parameterize connected IO-Link devices directly from the SIG300's web interface, without the need for additional software. Furthermore, thanks to the Function Block Factory, users can generate manufacturer-independent function blocks, facilitating integration into any existing automation environment.
The “Backup & Restore” function simplifies maintenance: when a sensor or actuator is replaced, the SIG300 automatically transfers the configuration to the new device. This functionality also allows the SIG300's configuration to be replicated and transferred to other devices, reducing programming time and costs.
One of the SIG300's most outstanding features is its data preprocessing capability, thanks to the integrated logic editor. This allows operations such as counting, averaging, and limit monitoring to be performed directly on the device. By reducing the processing load on higher-level systems and minimizing the amount of data sent to the cloud, resource utilization is optimized and data transfer costs are reduced.
